Split Rings

Split ring duct hangers for spiral ducting, available in all 24 diameters from 80mm to 1000mm, with most sizes held in stock. The split ring is the standard way to suspend round ductwork: two half-rings bolt together around the duct and hang it from threaded rod, giving a secure, adjustable support that can be fitted before or after the duct is in position.

Supporting spiral duct properly

Because the ring splits, you can add or reposition supports on an installed run without dismantling anything — invaluable during alterations. Sizing is simple: match the ring to the duct diameter, from 80mm right through to 1000mm, including every intermediate size in the spiral series (100, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 224, 250, 280, 300, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 600, 630, 710, 762, 800 and 900mm). Hang each ring on M8 or M10 threaded rod from a beam clamp, purlin clip or slotted channel, and space supports at regular intervals along the run.
