Bifurcated Fans

Bifurcated fans are axial duct fans with the motor mounted in a sealed central chamber, so the airstream splits and flows around the motor rather than over it. Because the motor never touches the air being moved, a bifurcated fan is the natural choice for hot, greasy or contaminated extract that would quickly wear out a standard axial fan: commercial kitchen extract, process fumes and industrial ventilation where air temperatures climb well beyond what a conventional in-line fan can survive.

Our bifurcated range is the Elta Biflow SB, available in five duct sizes from 250mm to 630mm with conical or cylindrical casings and a choice of single-phase and three-phase motors. Casings are heavy-gauge mild steel, hot dip galvanised after fabrication, with Class H motors positioned out of the airstream and IP55 protection throughout.
