Blast Gate Damper

Blast gate dampers — often called shut-off valves or cut-off gates — give you simple, positive control over a dust or fume extraction system. Slide the gate closed to isolate branches that are not in use and the full suction of your extraction fan is concentrated on the machines that are actually running. That means you can serve a whole workshop with a sensibly sized extraction unit, rather than paying for a fan big enough to feed every drop at once.

We stock blast gate dampers in 13 diameters from 63mm to 355mm (63, 80, 100, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 224, 250, 300, 315 and 355mm), matching the standard duct diameters used across our damper range and spiral ducting systems. They are a staple of woodworking dust extraction, LEV (local exhaust ventilation) installations and workshop fume control, and are just as useful anywhere you need a manual in-line shut-off in circular ductwork.
