Duct bracketry for supporting spiral ducting — split rings and suspension rings sized to every diameter we sell, from 80mm up to 1000mm. Proper support is what keeps a duct run straight, quiet and sealed: each ring clamps around the duct and hangs it from the structure, typically on threaded rod.

Split rings and suspension rings

Split rings (80mm to 1000mm) open into two halves, so they can be fitted around a duct that is already in position — the standard hanger for spiral ductwork, covering the entire diameter series. Each ring has plain holes, so the threaded rod passes through and is secured with washers and nuts, letting you fine-tune the drop height on site. Suspension rings (80mm to 400mm) have a built-in dual-thread nut — M8 or M10 threaded rod screws straight in, with no loose nuts to fumble — a quick and economical option in the small-to-mid sizes. On a new installation many fitters use suspension rings for speed and keep a few split rings on the van for the supports that inevitably get added later.

Building a complete support system

Both ring types hang from M8 or M10 threaded rod — stocked in 3m lengths in our threaded rod and fittings range along with the beam clamps, purlin clips and eye bolts that anchor the rod to the structure. Where a run crosses under steelwork or needs a trapeze, slotted channel spans between rod drops; for light duct, wire rope suspension is a fast alternative. Plan a support point at regular intervals along every run and either side of heavy components such as silencers and dampers, and the ductwork will stay aligned and quiet for its whole service life.
