QF Dampers
QF dampers control, balance and redirect airflow in a Nordfab QuickFit extraction system. Shutting off unused drops concentrates suction where it’s needed and lets one extraction fan serve many machines. Like the rest of the QuickFit range, every damper has rolled ends that clamp into the duct run with Quick Clips — no tools, and easy to reposition as the workshop changes.
Damper types
- Manual dampers (80–16 inch) — hand-operated shut-off for individual drops.
- Regulating dampers (80–20 inch) — set-and-lock balancing of airflow.
- Automatic dampers in five electrical variants: 24VAC, 24VDC, 24VDC Ex, 120VAC and 230VAC (all 80–16 inch) — actuated dampers that open and close with the machine they serve.
- Energy S automatic dampers, 230VAC (450–28 inch) — automatic control for the largest QuickFit diameters.
- Back pressure flap valves (160–22 inch) — stop reverse airflow in the line.
- Diverter valves in mild steel: manual and automatic 45° diverters, plus manual and automatic 60° Y diverters (100/125–20 inch) — switch material flow between two duct lines.
Choosing a damper
Match the damper diameter to your duct and pick the control that suits: manual for occasional isolation, regulating for balancing, automatic where dampers should follow machine on/off, and diverters where extracted material has to be routed to different collection points. Lead times are shown on each product page.
