Roof Mounted Fans
Roof mounted fans discharge extract air vertically at roof level — up and away from windows, walkways and neighbouring buildings — while freeing up plant space inside. They suit kitchens, washrooms, commercial units and industrial buildings where ducting to roof level is simpler than finding wall space for a conventional extract fan.
Why choose a roof-mounted extract fan?
- Vertical discharge carries odours and stale air clear of occupied areas
- External mounting saves internal plant space and keeps fan noise outside the building
- Designed for the weather: bird and wind guards and corrosion-protected casings
Our roof-mounted range is the Elta Clearflow CF, a vertical discharge centrifugal fan with three-dimensional backward-curved aerofoil impellers, available in five sizes from 315mm to 500mm with single- and three-phase motor options. It can be mounted at angles up to 30° directly onto pitched roofs, with a bird guard and wind guard fitted as standard and air volumes up to 2.66 m³/s.
If your roof extract runs hot or grease-laden — commercial kitchen canopies especially — step up to the Clearflow CFHT, rated to 120°C airstream temperature with the motor out of the airstream.
