Flat Shoe

Flat shoes for spiral ducting, stocked in all 24 sizes from 80mm to 1000mm. The flat shoe is the simplest branch take-off in the range: a formed connection with a flat base that fits over an opening, giving a straight duct connection off the surface it is mounted to.

A straightforward take-off

Use a flat shoe to start a duct run from a flat or gently curved surface — cutting a take-off into large ductwork, plenum boxes, hoods and enclosures — or wherever a simple, low-profile branch connection is wanted. Fit it the same way as the rest of the shoes and saddles family: cut the opening, screw the flange down, seal the perimeter, and connect spiral duct or flexible ducting to the shoe.

All 24 diameters match our spiral ducting series: 80, 100, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 224, 250, 280, 300, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 600, 630, 710, 762, 800, 900 and 1000mm. For angled or curved-entry branches, see the 45 degree pipe saddles and 90 degree curved boots alongside. Stocked sizes despatch next day when ordered by 3pm.
