Elta SSQUHT82/500-4-3 High Temperature Centrifugal Box Fan

The Elta Qube SQUHT and Slim Qube SSQUHT both handle airstream temperatures of up to 120°C. This is possible because the motor is positioned out of the airstream, protected from the heat and any contaminants passing through the fan. That makes these units well suited to demanding high-temperature extract duties where a standard fan’s motor would be operating outside its rated conditions.

With the motor mounted outside the moving air, hot, greasy or contaminated air never passes over the windings and bearings, which significantly extends motor life and keeps maintenance simpler. It also means the fan’s temperature rating is set by the casing and impeller rather than the motor. Both Qube high temperature models use this arrangement, paired with a high-efficiency backward curved aluminium impeller.

The Slim Qube SSQUHT is available in 500mm, 670mm, 820mm and 1020mm case sizes, with a slim-line profile for tighter plant spaces. Both models feature moveable panels so the outlet position can be adjusted on site, giving flexible multi-discharge installation. They’re designed with noise in mind: both models use double-skinned panels filled with 25mm fibreglass acoustic insulation to reduce radiated noise, and the backward curved impellers are dynamically balanced to G6.3 in accordance with ISO 1940. Yes. The Qube SQUHT is available with an energy-efficient IE6 EC motor or an AC motor, both IP55 rated, with speed control via variable frequency drive or remote signal — 0-10VDC, 4-20mA, PWM or potentiometer depending on model — and building management system integration. The Slim Qube SSQUHT uses a three-phase IP55 motor suitable for variable frequency drive control. Both carry a 24-month warranty.
