Description

The Turboflow Max TF is a single stage axial fan that has been specifically developed to tackle higher pressure requirements with a straightforward, efficient and definitive approach. Configured as a long cased kitchen axial fan, it combines robust metal construction with external mounting capability for demanding commercial extract duties.

Available in four standard sizes from 450mm to 630mm, the Turboflow Max TF delivers air volume flow rates up to 4.00 m³/s and static pressures up to 916 Pa. The heavy gauge mild steel casing is hot dip galvanised, while adjustable pitch aerofoil impellers with pressure die cast aluminium blades provide up to 7% higher efficiency than standard designs. A weatherproofed IP55 terminal box, VFD speed control compatibility and building management system integration make it a versatile choice for high-pressure ventilation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a cased axial fan and where is it used?

A cased axial fan is an axial impeller mounted inside a rigid metal cylinder, designed to sit in-line within circular ductwork and move large air volumes against low to medium resistance. Our Elta cased axial range covers general supply and extract ventilation, with the long-cased Turboflow Max TF developed specifically for commercial kitchen extract duties where higher pressures are needed.

What sizes do Elta cased axial fans come in?

The Compact SCD is available in seven sizes from 315mm to 630mm, the Raptor SDA in eight sizes from 250mm to 630mm, and the Turboflow Max TF in four sizes from 450mm to 630mm. Case diameter matches the duct diameter, so select the fan size that suits your ductwork and then check the airflow and pressure figures on the product datasheet against your system requirements.

Are these fans available in single-phase and three-phase versions?

Yes. The Compact SCD is offered with AC four-pole single-phase or three-phase motors, and the Raptor SDA is available in both AC and EC variants. Each model listing states its supply voltage and phase, so check the specification table or the technical datasheet in the Downloads tab before ordering. If you’re unsure which motor option suits your installation, call us on 0116 246 0031.

Can I speed-control an Elta cased axial fan?

Most models in the range accept speed control — the Compact SCD via a stepped transformer or variable speed drive, the Raptor SDA in EC form with built-in speed control, and the Turboflow Max TF via VFD with building management system integration. Note that speed control can lower the maximum permitted operating temperature — the Compact SCD, for example, is rated to +70°C fixed speed but +50°C with speed control.

Where can I find full performance data for these fans?

Every fan product page includes a Downloads tab containing the manufacturer’s technical data sheet and the installation and maintenance guide. These give full airflow and static pressure curves, electrical data, sound levels and dimensions for every model in the range. The Specifications tab on each product summarises the key figures for that particular model and size.
