Frequently Asked Questions

Is the size I select the overall size of the louvre?

No — the size selected is the neck size, which should match the duct or wall opening it serves. The overall face size is 50mm larger on both axes, so a 300mm x 300mm louvre has a 350mm x 350mm face. Allow for that flange overlap when positioning the louvre on the wall.

What are the louvres made from?

Durable, lightweight aluminium. The angled blade design balances weather protection with ventilation, keeping rain out while letting air through, which makes these louvres the standard choice for the external inlet or outlet of a ducted ventilation system. Circular versions are also aluminium, made to suit round duct sizes directly.

What sizes are available?

Square louvres are stocked from 150mm x 150mm up to 1000mm x 1000mm in 50mm steps, and circular louvres from 100mm to 315mm diameter. Rectangular louvres are made to order to your dimensions — up to 1800mm wide and 2400mm high online — and we can quote for any size beyond that if you contact us.

How do I connect a square louvre to round ducting?

Use a grille box, also called a plenum box, behind the louvre. The box presents a square face that matches the louvre neck and a circular spigot that connects to your spiral or flexible ducting. Match the first two dimensions of the plenum box to the louvre neck size and the third to your duct diameter.

How quickly can I get a weather louvre?

Stock square and circular sizes carry our fastest lead time, shown on each product page. Custom-size rectangular louvres are manufactured to order, so allow the longer lead time stated on that product. Orders over £400 excluding VAT qualify for free delivery.

We want you to buy with confidence. You can return any standard stocked item within six weeks (42 days) of delivery for a full refund — 100% of the item price, no restocking or handling fees. Faulty Items

If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please let us know as soon as possible — ideally within 48 hours of delivery, so we can claim against the courier on your behalf. We will arrange a free collection and send a replacement or issue a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
