90 Degree Bend

90 degree bends for galvanised spiral ducting — the classic right-angle elbow, available in 24 diameters from 80mm to 1000mm, with every size up to 500mm stocked except 280mm. Every ducted system needs them: turning from a horizontal run up a riser, dropping from ceiling level to a grille box, or steering extract duct out through an external wall.

Fitting a 90 degree elbow

A 90 degree bend connects to plain spiral duct and to the male/female connectors in the same diameter series, so right-angle junctions assemble without fabrication. On performance-critical runs — long extract lines, dust extraction, anything with a hard-working fan — consider swapping a single 90 for two 45 degree bends where space allows; the gentler geometry reduces pressure drop and noise. Where the 90 is the right call, the full size run means the fitting always matches the duct: 80, 100, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 224, 250, 280, 300, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 600, 630, 710, 762, 800, 900 and 1000mm. Every diameter up to and including 500mm except 280mm is held in stock; 280mm and larger sizes are made to order.
