30 Degree Bend

30 degree bends for galvanised spiral ducting, available in all 24 standard diameters from 80mm to 1000mm — every size up to 400mm stocked except 280mm, with 280mm and larger sizes made to order. A 30 degree bend gives the shallowest change of direction in the range — ideal for easing a duct run around an obstruction, forming a gentle offset with a pair of bends, or following a roof pitch without forcing the airflow through a sharp turn.

Why use a shallow bend?

Every degree of turn adds resistance for the fan to overcome. Where the geometry allows, a 30 degree bend keeps air moving with minimal pressure drop and less noise than steeper elbows, which matters on long extract runs and high-velocity dust extraction systems. Two 30 degree bends back to back produce a 60 degree turn with a sweeping line; combined with 45 degree and 60 degree bends you can hit almost any angle a building throws at you.

Available in 80, 100, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 224, 250, 280, 300, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 600, 630, 710, 762, 800, 900 and 1000mm — the same series as our 3m spiral duct lengths. Stocked sizes ordered by 3pm are despatched next day.
