Pleated Panel Filters – 2 inch – 16 x 16 x 2

G4 is a coarse filtration grade — the workhorse general-ventilation panel grade used to protect ducting systems, heat exchangers and the areas they serve from dust and larger airborne particles, without adding excessive resistance to the airflow. G4 panels are typically used as a primary filter, or as a pre-filter protecting finer filters downstream.

Panel filters are traditionally sold in nominal inch sizes, such as 24 x 24 x 2, and the actual metric size is undercut so the panel drops into the housing. For example, the nominal 16 x 16 x 1 panel is actually 395mm x 395mm x 22mm. When replacing a filter, check the actual millimetre size printed on the old filter’s frame or measure the holding frame.

Match the depth your filter housing or holding frame is designed for — a deeper panel will not fit a shallower frame. Where the housing accepts it, a deeper panel carries more pleated media, which generally means more dust-holding capacity and longer service life between changes. The range covers 1, 2 and 4 inch nominal depths.

A pleated synthetic media core in a rigid card frame — fully disposable, so the whole panel is simply lifted out and replaced at service time with no cleaning or re-media work. The pleats increase the media area within the panel, helping the filter capture dust without compromising airflow.

It depends on the dust load and running hours of your system, so there is no single answer — inspect the panels regularly and replace them once they are visibly loaded or the pressure drop across them has risen noticeably. Keeping a spare set on site is good practice, and buying in bulk takes advantage of free delivery on orders over £400 excluding VAT.
