What is insulating duct wrap for?
Wrapping ductwork to reduce heat loss or gain and to help prevent condensation forming on duct surfaces — a common requirement where warm extract or supply air passes through cold roof voids and unheated spaces. Insulating the duct keeps the air closer to its intended temperature and protects the surrounding structure from drips.
What size is the roll?
Each roll is 1.2m wide by 18m long and 25mm thick. How far a roll goes depends on the duct diameter and the overlap you allow at each wrap, so measure your run and duct circumference before ordering. For long runs, buying several rolls at once takes advantage of free delivery on orders over £400 excluding VAT.
How is duct wrap fitted?
Wrap it around the duct with the joints overlapped and secure it in place, sealing the seams — foil duct tape from our tapes range is the usual choice for a tidy, sealed finish. Take care to keep the wrap snug without compressing it heavily, as compression reduces the insulating performance.
Is the duct wrap held in stock?
Yes — it is a stock item on our fastest lead time, shown on the product page, so it can be supplied alongside the ducting and fixings for your installation in one delivery. We want you to buy with confidence. You can return any standard stocked item within six weeks (42 days) of delivery for a full refund — 100% of the item price, no restocking or handling fees. Faulty Items
If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please let us know as soon as possible — ideally within 48 hours of delivery, so we can claim against the courier on your behalf. We will arrange a free collection and send a replacement or issue a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
